Drinking coffee at home instead of stopping to get a cuppajoe while shopping for groceries. The thrill is gone, but my $1.50 isn't. No more living on the wild side.
I didn't have a game plan for a May resolution, so I decided at the last minute that my resolution would be to run every day. That was a really bad idea, because it was right before we moved into our apartment, so a lot of my time was moving furniture and unpacking boxes and the last thing I felt like doing was run (and I certainly didn't have time for it). My excuse for the rest of the month, however, was that I was lazy. And taking a break from resolutions. I'm okay with that. I think I ran maybe six times.
My resolution for this month was well thought-out and decided upon a few weeks ago. This month, I am going to break bad habits. They say it takes two weeks to form a habit, and I don't know what that means for trying to break them, but I figured a month will be good practice. I picked five bad habits of mine to break. I wish I could say once and for all, but let's be real here.
1. Yelling/speaking harshly to my kids
2. Buying coffee while out and about
3. Staying up late
4. Not finishing what I've started
5. Eating when I'm not hungry
They are all pretty self-explanatory. I'll try to keep y'all updated, for those slightly interested in the mundane tasks of my life. Wish me luck!
